The artwork isn't really my taste.
Can you give a first impression regarding snappiness, responsiveness?
You write LXDE Lite, I suppose you mean lxde is the light version of Siduction.
I wil wait trying it until the install problems that limit the use of this version are solved.

It only has a few programs to keep it under 700 MB. Deadbeef, Midori, Osmo, Synaptic and not the full LXDE desktop (therefore Lite). That horrible Ceni is included which means I .have no internet connection and gdebi package installer is not included so I can't add any network manager packages to make Siduction useable. Agreed that the colours and theme artwork aren't attractive. Aptosid is better. The aptosid installer is simpler and easier to use (a lot less buttons). Basically, using it gives the same responsiveness as aptosid so since you have aptosid installed already, no sense in installing it.

Thanks for the info; you're right; now in the beginning there won't be much difference with aptosid.
I'm sorry to hear it has so many flaws for you.

I think this project will be successful but remain small. Right now it's only diluting the aptosid community but is it really going to be able to attract new users from other distros in the future? It's nice that it has community input and involvement but we'll see how that works out and how long that lasts. It offers the same two main desktops and packages that aptosid offers so why should anyone change? If they were to also offer "sid" with a full LXDE or Gnome3 or Openbox or Fluxbox or E-17 or awesome, etc. then maybe they'll attract new users. Right now, they are aptosid with different colours and redundant. What can they do to truly separate themselves from aptosid?

I think a kind, open and helpful forum makes the difference in the end.
And devs that are really prepared to take user input seriously.
That feeds user and dev interaction and growth in usability and stability, in short quality.
