[solved]upgrading, installing programs, nothing works.

64bit intel core 2 deo processor

Using an Archbang CD from early this (2011) september.

Fresh install

I live in South Africa

I am able to uninstall programs with pacman though, As for the other comands considdering Packer(pacman), its not going so well.

I use http://ftp.tku.edu.tw and not ftp://ftp.tku.edu.tw. Http://ftp.tku.edu.tw is my fastest mirror and speediest for downloading here in Asia followed by the http.internode mirror in Australia.

What happens if you use pacman -Syyu instead of packer?

Sorry if I addressed you in an inappropriate informal way. It takes a lot of imagination to visualize the fact that a person is (or I am) actually talking to real entities from different communities who play a specific role and make their difference in this world (or maybe I was just plain immature an rebellious, I prefer the former excuse though, I didn't have "lets be imature and rebellious today" on the mind when I did the addressing hmm ).
