I used to have a lot of time for theming ArchBang and am hoping now to get some more time to dedicate to it.
Here are some of my older screenshots....
Hopefully I'll be able to get some time to customize my new install and share.

A bit of fun, just trying to bring the elements together icons, theme, gtk... tint2 is pretty much AB out of the box. Would like it to blend in more but that will come.
like the look of new menu..... icing on the cake would be menu title Archbang loud and proud...

Created wallpaper using inkscape
Changed tint2 to greenish color to compliment wallpaper
Changed Elegant Brit theme to use green colors instead of orange
Conkyrc I got from the archbang forum
It's almost a full theme, now I just need to find or create a matching openbox theme
(but I like carbon so much)

I'd really like to have that conky and desktop-menu like you have;)
My problem is I can't seem to figure out in which menu.xml file to edit/add lines and where into this file the line starts nor end for the menu to show in an orderly desired fashion.
Same is for conky. I'd want to add this one you have with/into the default AB has. How can I do this without messing-up?
Peace;)

I would back up menu.xml before making any changes
With Conky copy .conkyrc then rename it something like .conky_new edit that file then simply test it using
conky -c ~/.conky_newuntil you are happy with it

I've been searching all around for something that looks like REAL weather conky.... useless CUCUweather (french speaking knows how thats spell out to be lololol.... not so accu-weather)..... that's all I stumble up on.
I wish all those post I saw were a bit more "international". Not just some US weather post. Useless.
Anyone has something useful? thx;)

this is the same stuff that I've been trying... and has never work
Quebec ${execi 300 ~/home/ghis/.weather.sh/weather.sh "nam|ca|qc|quebec"}
Montreal ${execi 300 ~/home/ghis/.weather.sh/weather.sh "nam|ca|qc|montreal"}
from where this was tut-post, the difference was to make a directory (.weather.sh) for what use I don't know.
I'm gonna do some cleaning up and put all those conky all in the same folder. Trying this and that, I ended-up with one here, one there, another somewhere, etc... it has become a real mess with all the old file, .old, .back, .keep, .Dot lololol. And even a batch file to start the 2 conkys for a simple clock.
thx for the help;)
(edit)
btw; I'm looking forward for this kind of conky setup.... (minus the wireless and battery thing)

I noticed that my conky uses capital letters in the location code and yours not.

Try looking at some of the configs there, not sure I have time to mess around with conkyweather, did quickly test weather.sh and it works for me

@Mr Green This is Archbang 2011.10 installed ten days ago.
The panel is tint2-svn,because it only supports icons.Icon theme is AwOken.Two Conky's weather,the other displays information on the music player (deadbeef).The font is space age.I found it in http://www.dafont.com That's all

@radoshow it looks very like adeskbar [but waay better] interested in seeing config not sure if I have the right version but a setting allows you to place clock left or right of the bar.... /me looks screen shot again ![]()

The Clock you can also put it in the middle of panel.

@radoshow not middle would remind me of Gnome Shell ;(

Hello ArchBangers!
I finally made the move to AB! 2011.10 from Reloaded 2010....It is Awesome!...still needs a lot of work but getting there! question...How can I modify my shell, i will like the background to be transparent. I tried different things and just can't seem to get the menu bar like in previous releases.

This gives me a fairly transparent bar:
rounded = 11
border_width = 1
background_color = #9B2C32 20
border_color = #FFFFFF 20
rounded = 6
border_width = 0
background_color = #ffffff 20
border_color = #ffffff 20
rounded = 6
border_width = 0
background_color = #ffffff 0
border_color = #ffffff 0
I think 20 is the measure of the opacity.

I haven't gotten to my Tint2 yet, although I did added some lines to my .Xdefaults file (as mentioned above) to make my Terminal background transparent. I am truly Sorry for the incident ![]()
