Anything new and of interest concerning ArchBang going on? Everything seems so quite and tranquil... ArchBang is up to number 59 on DistroWatch and still going up. Good job developers but people loose interest fast in our society today. Is anybody working on improving our distro of choice?

Well, I'm currently working on a GUI for the installer (like the one Chakra uses).

Don't ask what Archbang is doing, ask yourself what you can do for Archbang ;-)

Cool gestaltish...
Cute pablokal!.. I like the "Archbang, child of Arch?" article from rollingrelease that you posted by the way... I've been distro hopping for many years, from FreeBSD to Ubuntu and through a lot of distributions. I always come back to Arch, for one reason or another, probably because of the resemblance with FBSD; we seem to have almost total control of the os we install with Arch. I am not a linux guru and I break things a lot. I am definetly not an artist or a designer, and I really don't have anything to offer. My original question "Now what?" is for the developers mostly but also to see if other users could give ideas and guidance even. ArchBang is up to a good start, even though I have issues I can't fix yet. I would love to see "Archers" get involved. I would like to see conky conf files along with the screenshots and other configuration files for panels and so forth. Sure we all can search the net to look for answers but we don't always have the time to do that.

If you're a people-person you can always (out-of-the-blue) start talking about Arch and ArchBang when you're standing in line buying groceries ![]()

Good ol' USA ![]()
I act as tech-support for a lot of people and have started to "force" them into using Arch (and most recently ArchBang). While they wait for their computer to be fixed they have the opportunity to use one of my computers with ArchBang on it ![]()
So far: 3 converts.

Now that's cool! No convert on my end, but I work with five people only and our applications are all MS specific.

Maybe they'll convert in time?
