Updates

Hi all
It's been a while since logging in to the forum.
I now have two laptops, one running Archbang and a second on which I have gone over to the dark-side --(Arch)!!!
My question concerns how often I should update Archbang/Arch when they now live on removable media (Thumb-drives).
I have taken all the right steps to ensure long drive life but do not want to update more than I really need to.
My PCs only get used on average twice a week sometimes three, and I always update on one of those days.
Do you think this is:     1. enough or     2. overkill?
Still loving the Arch sorry Archbang-way.
Thanks on advance
Silure

Re: Updates

On a normal install I aim for once a week. But on a pendrive I would probably do it once a month so as not to wear it out to quickly.

Re: Updates

I use an old laptop as a music player for my DAC with AB on it. I update it once a month / six weeks; unless there is a warning/risk of breakage than I update right away.

Re: Updates

I tend to update when I boot up laptop, Arch is all about running the latest and greatest. Would not leave it more than a couple of months ...
