Linux user article

Inside found an article on comparing package managers, pacman was among them. They rated apt-get than pacman, more to do with it being more reliable.

However they could not fault pacman for its speed and ease of use.

ArchBang was mentioned (image to follow).

Looking at distro chart in this issue, Manjaro rated higher than Archlinux.....

I have never had to abandon a system when having a crashed update with pacman, but it has happened to me with apt. I run a bunch of servers with varying ubuntus. I always have to run apt-get update in a screen session just in case my network disappears.

Upcoming changes to apt (1.1.7) mean faster operation and different compression may help.
