More of a Weston's fan myself, angry orchard is more like a mouth wash wink

Explanation was watching a you tube video on bash menu making and he was using vi, then states he needed too indent code... Then using line numbers ran above simply amazing.

I would sit here going line by line adding spaces.... Really need to learn vi, my New Years resolution

You already know sed so you're 3/4s of the way there.  Vi is like interactive sed

There are no books available for vi, have tried to use it before with little success. Just so used too using nano.....

Well in vim at least your indentation can be replaced by

:4,18>

this sort of thing can also be done in visual mode, but I usually am editing over the wire so prefer the command mode.

Have started to work on .exrc got rid of visual bell, and set line numbers. still have a habit of hitting backspace and trying to use cursor keys. Guess it takes time.....
