Hard to read: Screen settings? Crazy contrasts?

Hi,

for some reason, I find it hard to read on my (new) archbang installation. It's somewhat annoying in browsers, difficult in a pdf reader and downright impossible in libre office.
I turned down the lighting (with xbacklight) and changed the fonts (ix lxappearence I think), but it didn't help and you'd think Libre Office and pdf documents would bring their own fonts anyway.

Any ideas what the reason might be?

Have you tried different settings with lxappearance and obconf?
Or is it something of your video card settings?
Screenshots?

Re: Hard to read: Screen settings? Crazy contrasts?

Good idea with the screenshots. Helped a lot.

Apparently, it was partly my imagination and partly Libre Office using a different font then expected. I installed some open fonts and it works for now.e
Also discovered that gamma values exist and set it a bit lower. Subjectively it's still a bit hard to focus on the screen, but there's a good chance it's just my imagination.
