Minirc testing iso

Thought I would give minirc another go, it starts fast easy to configure. Have got it booting... but again dbus and udev are giving me problems.

Now I am using dbus-nosystemd from aur and it should have dbus-launch ... really not sure at this point why it is looking for systemd

Re: Minirc testing iso

Ensure you're calling /usr/bin/udevd not the systemd package. I'm really unfamiliar with minirc.

Re: Minirc testing iso

It is running with eudev. Dbus is causing me grief again. Good thing about minirc is you can use it with systemd.

Re: Minirc testing iso

Well that kinda defeats the purpose of this subforum, we're trying to remove Poetteringd. My priority is getting OpenRC and SysVinit working first, then the Tier 2 project would be to get Epoch working and a pkgbuild for that in the AUR. The only downside of Epoch is a lack of parallel startup, but it really is a KISS init system that some Arch users I think will like. MiniRC is also classified as Tier II. Once we get a stable setup of both OpenRC and SysVinit versions, I'll see about helping you with this.
