[SOLVED] Can't execute script as root, fstab

Hello, I was about to launch the archiso build script (like I usually do), but today I got "Permission denied". (previously 2 - 3 weeks ago it still worked)

root@archbang livecd # ls -al
 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10871 Apr 6 15:28 build.sh
among other things
root@archbang livecd # ./build.sh -v
bash: ./build.sh: Permission denied

Thanks in advance.
(Note: copied this question to the archbang forums because of the "archlinux-only" thing... even though it has nothing to do with the differences)

Sidenote: this is not on the /home partition, see fstab:
UUID=yeah /DeLüx ext4 user,nofail,defaults,noatime 0 1

Re: [SOLVED] Can't execute script as root, fstab

If you have problem with archiso then you can ask on Archlinux forums or arch-releng mailing list.

Can you run any script on that partition?

If I create a script on a usb drive and then try to run it I get the same error

sudo chmod +x fred
[fred]$ ./fred
bash: ./fred: Permission denied

Try

# bash ./build.sh -v

Re: [SOLVED] Can't execute script as root, fstab

Thank you for the prompt reply.
Indeed, it was not archbang-related.
Your command worked temporarily, until the script tried to execute mkinitcpio as root (which failed with same error)

The solution was to remove "user" from fstab.

Thanks, cheers!
