[SOLVED] lm-sensors (are going strong):

Anyone know what's going on with the lm-sensors people?

They seem to have closed their old site & I can't find their new one.

Any clues?

Re: [SOLVED] lm-sensors (are going strong):

More than one point here:

* Their website doesn't have an index page. I'm sure they will get around to sorting that out eventually.

* I checked further into their mailing list & know that they are actually very active. So that's good news. Thanks for your mailing list suggestion Mr Green. smile

* The problem I had was caused by packer. I had the mistaken impression that packer only had one problem & that was involved with the AUR. This one I can detect when it shows up & deal with it. What I now know is that packer also can have a problem with the binary repos too. sad  Which certainly has the potential to be a time waster ...

I know many users run packer -Syu but I have never liked doing that prefer to run pacman and then packer --auronly. A quick alias can sort that for you.

Edit its looks like Matthew no longer maintains packer but it is still maintained... going to check what version I have installed..

Re: [SOLVED] lm-sensors (are going strong):

phil has removed packer from the Manjaro repos, he said packer is no longer maintained.

Hopefully someone will pick it up, but as it is, & after my experiences today I will have to install yaourt & use it instead.

Re: [SOLVED] lm-sensors (are going strong):

It should be okay for the future with an Arch TU maintaining it
