As my first post i have to say hello to the Archbang community. Its great to be here ![]()
I am new to the Archbang ( and arch overall) world and this i the sittuation I'm in ![]()
I installed AB from USB flash drive and then configure the distro and updated it with pacman -Syu --ignore glibc (the keyboard and mouse worked perfectly then). After the reboot as i enabled autologin I go to the Openbox but my mice and kb doesn't work. I think the Syu updated the xorg and etc and somewhere it got wrong.
Any suggestions how to fix this? There is no xorg.conf in /etc/X11 there is xorg.conf.d with files i read little from the wiki but i'm not sure what to do so here I am ![]()

Thrax

Use the liveCD to chroot into your AB installation : http://wiki.archbang.org/index.php?titl … o_a_LiveCD
and downgrade the packages you think are responsible.
In var/log /pacman.log you can find back what you have recently installed.

That is the thing i am not sure where exactly is the problem, i'm not used to the xorg.conf.d folder and all the files so i don't know how to proceed to fix the input devices

are you able to log in without going into X? (i.e. ctrl-alt-f2)
If so, try re-installing xf86-input-evdev and then starting X
Hasta manana, monsieur
Were the only words that I knew for sure

No, im not able to kill x or go ctrl-alt-f2. I'll try runlevel 3 and do it from the shell. I'll tell you the result later. Thank you oliver
