Remove Openbox and replace login screen

Well, to put it simply I got tired of Openbox. It's not that it was stupid, it's just that it felt lacking. Anyhow, I installed MATE via Pacman, and also GDM, following the guide on the wiki. Now, I need to get rid of the original Openbox login screen (the one with the guitar, fishes, and underwater scene.) Thing is, when X starts, that's the first thing to show -- and then a few seconds later GDM would overlap on top of it, creating a mess. My question is this, how do I completely remove openbox, specifically that login screen?

Cheers to anyone who can help.

Re: Remove Openbox and replace login screen

You need to edit /etc/inittab and replace slim with gdm. Arch wiki will have more information. Once you get gdm running then you will be safe to remove openbox.
