Hi,
I'm sorry for posting a new topic, but I've been searching for a while, and I'm sure part of my issue that I'm not exactly how best to phrase my issue to turn up search results, but here goes:
I'm running Synergy [1.4.6-1] between two computers on top of Openbox [3.5.0-5]. When focus changes from the host to the second monitor, the first display grays out. It does not turn off, it simply fades out of focus and no longer updates what is on the screen, until focus returns to it. I'm not sure if this is a feature of the compositing manager, openbox, or synergy, but I've been unable to find out which one causes the screen to dim when it no longer has focus. This behavior is undesirable and I wish to disabled it.
The host computer is the one running archbang and the above versioned software. The second computer is running debian, that screen is active (i.e. not dim/grayed out and display updates) all the time, whether or not it has the focus.
Can anyone help?
Thank you,
Aric

Figured it out: Under my openbox menu:
Preferences -> Eye Candy
Changed from "Transparency Fading, Shadows" to just "Transparancy". This runs the following command:
~/.config/openbox/scripts/xcompmgr.sh set
I feel a bit silly for having to ask about that one.
