Hi i'm new to arch, came from ubuntu and started wich archbang.
I tried AUI in archbang and had problems with the script overwriting pacman.conf. Then I installed standard arch and it worked fine...
Can someone take a look and try to help me on this? I'd love to make it work with archbang as this would make it much easier to install in some friends boxes!
Please take a look at my posts (same member name) on page 3
TIA

Ps. The author of the script has been trying to help me, but I'm a newbie and maybe I'm not doing thinghs right

Can see the problem all the '#'s are removed from pacman.conf, so there is a problem with script
Either line 417-419 or 702-703

Are you running under live or installed ArchBang?
Hi Mr Green
Running from installed... Tried on std HD install and Vbox. Same problem on both.
I think pacman.conf file from archbang differs from the std arch???

@ Ninja: do you know the link on your site to your wiki is dead?

@Ninja-1, thank you for joining this thread and posting pacman.conf from stock arch!
I've been following your distro for while, just tried to run this script on a fresh/latest (2012.5) bridgelinux xfce edition and same problem arises...
Let's see if the author can help us...
ps. As pablokal noticed, your wiki does not work, also on gnome install, libreoffice defaults to AF language instead of english. I will report more suggestion or your own forum.
Regards

Hi helmuthdu, thank your for your help, but I just replied the topic in archlinux forum, now the same errors are also happening with standard/plain arch install...
I only can make it work if I comment out the lines in your script suggested above by Mr Green...
Hope you can fix this, your script is really great!

@pablokal: I forgot it was even there...I removed it.
@spsf64: Yes, the LibreOffice issue is in my notes. Thanks.
