@lrca I like that wallpaper very green
add an Archbang logo and it could go into iso release
Thank you Mr. Green, I knew you would like it! but the wallpaper is not mine I got it from wallbase site: http://wallbase.cc/home, Is it legal to use some else's work for this particular matter? We would have to ask permission right? If I can get an ok from creatro, I would defenitely add the ArchBang logo and have it ready fro iso release...I will keep you posted.
Cheers,

@Keta
When you upload your screenshot to postimage.org, are there radio buttons for Family Safe and Adult Content? I suspect you are either clicking adult content or do not have the Family Safe setting. When I click on your screenshot I get Adult Content ads. I am not offended, but I really don't want my kids seeing it when they peak over my shoulder. Others may be offended. Please correct or let us know if you can't find the setting. We can direct you towards other image sites.
Of course if I am the only one seeing this, please let me know. Maybe I have something set wrong!

Hey,
I like that "Obtheme - playbillblue", as well as so many others here, and NOT just because of that lower left corner clicker. ![]()
The (mouse)point is, "Arch + OpenBox = Archbang!"
Respectfully "#!" was/is an important part of this little founding called ArchBang, but maybe it's time we all take the leap, and establish our very own ArchBang/Arch BLUE(ish) theme, along with (optionally) that same old Dark/Black/Dark-Grey "#!" theme, 'cause afterall, we are ALL ArchBang!
I think we should now make our very own default "unique" AB!-theme, from the OB-3-icons, themes, to the wallpapers...., 'ya know, from the mountains to the valleys,...
Pour me another Sally, ...
In other words, we don't need no freekin' "#!" anymore, We are AB!, and we are Arch, and that's all we need to know.
If I was a "creative" digital artist, I would do it myself, but ... I do know there is enough Artists here to do it.
Edit: Also, a "one-stop" tested default AB!-theme makes it much easier to troubleshoot -if it all works OOB!
Respectfully, (plz don't take this the wrong way...), 'cause if it wasn't for #!, I would not have found AB!
It's all good.

Really, great work everyone. Lots of talent in here.
Here is my desktop. Borrowed from a few people around the net and tweaked to my liking.
It IS archbang but is not openbox, does that count?
rom the left to the right here is what you are seeing:
Top bar:
'awesome' menu > emoji tabs denoting different desktops > Music [artist - track] music wave visualizer > memory usage graph > cpu usage graph > cpu cores 1-8 graph output > network traffic output > binary clock > window layout
Bottom bar:
Tint2 task panel seperated into five desktops > notification tray

also, as you mentioned, "...Really, great work everyone. Lots of talent in here..." ? <- I couldn't agree more.
Personally, and don't take it the wrong way, 'cause I not artistic enough really, but. for me, substitute the red for our Arch(blue) / Openbox(.obt) themey thingy and I'm ecstatic.
It's a lotta work either way, and I'm not trying to be anyones critic, I would just love to see our very own (unique) AB! Themer's,..., we definitely have the talent here.

Are you referring to the desktop background red? I wouldn't mind messing with some wallpapers to add in the Arch Logo and colors or something maybe?
I am okay with any critiques. Opinions don't bother me unless it is assumed I will adopt them. ![]()

Sorry for any confusion. I was mainly just showing off my awesome config and current desktop iteration. I blended quite a few things together and after finally getting it working thought I had thrown together a neat compilation.
Maybe I will see what I can do with GIMP (first time for everything right?) to make the wallpaper more Archbang like.

@scjet did you notice any problems with OMG-Dark openbox theme and its separators?
Actually yes, I found "OMG-Dark" (OB-3 theme) to be a great theme, but the "separators" are a bit blurry/ill-defined to say the least.
I kept OMG-Dark for gtk3/lxappearance, and chose "BlueSmoke" for just the OB-3 theme only becuase it gives me some color separators for all the apps ... just trying out a couple different combo's.

Offline
@scjet try this
Thanks, I tried your suggestion but I still don't get as defined a color separater as my above other combo. Don't get me wrong though, I like the OMG themes sets, somewhat.
I tried clearing all the crap in my ~/ , ...and starting from scratch, but For example, (as a test only) try this site:
There are many sites similar to above, and in Firefox it's too dark to properly see the text in the drop-down's, but with Chromium its fine ?!
However, if I use for example "Zukitwo-Dark (for GTK3), and OMG-Dark (for OB-3) themes, then I a get a more readable/uniform look n feel from above, unfortunately, this ends up a bit too light for me ?, and it's taking me away from my Archbang-blueish-darkish theme design.
I know eh, "everyone is an Art critic" - LoL.
also, a lot of these things depend slightly on the type of Video(dirvers) card, (Lcd/Led/Plasma/...)Monitor,... and other hardware.
And besides, why don't some of these guys just use "#" instead of "!!" to comment things in/out of configs, that drove me nutz ! probably a lower-level language.
Honestly, I think I'll leave the Artistic development and decisions here for you guys, and in this "Artwork & Screenshots" thread.
Aesthetically speaking, there is lots to choose from around here, and they're all very nice. Keep them comin'.
geezus, I've spent more time f_ckin' 'round with my themes, colors, gtk3/fontconfigs/ob-3 seperators and regurgitators. ... here, than I did with those "archbang-netinstall" scripts. argh.![]()

@fog you got a pipemenu/script for playing tunes?
I'm using obmocmenu (aur) with moc.
Almost zero configuration:
1. Install the packages
2. With obmenu add a new pipemenu and execute: obmocmenu.
3. Set terminal command path (uncomment or add the line with your favorite console) in /etc/obmocmenu.conf
4. Copy /usr/share/doc/moc/config.example to ~/.moc/config and change the path to your music.
There are more options, themes, settings... for fine tuning, but with the above steps I can hear and control my music. ![]()

Wow
I am tempted to move your post to FAQ, Tips and Tricks
You need to create a .moc/ folder then copy in config then rename it
mkdir ~/.moc
cp /usr/share/doc/moc/config.example ~/.moc
mv config.example configAssuming this is the line I need to edit in config
# Directory in which you store music files. If you specify it you will be able
# to quickly go to this directory with the '-m' parameter or the 'm' command.
# This can also point to a playlist.

I tried awesome for a while and really liked it - enough to consider switching, but the java support killed me. My work has tons of java apps that are the only way to interact with some of our databases.
FWIW, it's not an 'awesome' problem but a longtime java bug that can be worked around for some apps - but others just didn't play nicely enough to justify a move for me.

I had to use NetBeans for a class and had this issue, I added 'export _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1' to my .xinitrc and I no longer recieved an empty grey screen after loading. Not saying that is a cure all but it worked for me. Regardless it's the beauty of Arch, it is whatever you want it to be. Choice is it's best feature. ![]()

The fonts used in conky and as system font ( I hardly ever like condensed fonts but this one looks very nice).
The conky set up and of course the very nice colour scheme (the olive colour is #A9A28F) used in the OB theme.
Details here: http://thrynk.deviantart.com/art/Zenner … 20gtk&qo=7

Zenner must be an fluxbox theme, the flatness, very nice...
