Downloaded new AB 2012.04.30 today. DistroWatch does not indicate a file manager.
I have a small linux home server providing raid backup/storage and print server. Other home computers include wife's W7 pc, a linux laptop and my linux desktop.
Plan to install AB soon. Can someone recommend a file manager that can access the linux server and better yet all network shares. pcmanfm currently accesses smb://server/ from within LXDE (on Arch Linux), but in openbox both smb://server/ and trash yield operation not supported errors.
I surmise I will need a combination of a file manager and samba. I would like to stick with pcmanfm but have found it very difficult to get access to shares when launced in Openbox.

Having started my computing using the AmigaOS, I learned to use & love DOpus, a magnificent directory utility/file manager.
I am so happy that I found Worker, which is somewhat inspired by DOpus v4. Though DOpus could multi-task within itself which is something I still miss in Worker, though you can call app's in such a fashion that you can continue to use Worker in a multi-tasking fashion, it still doesn't really have the multi-tasking ability built in native.
The 2nd picture on this page:

is of my Worker config.
If you do happen to decide to use Worker, I can pass on my config file if you like; it will save you a lot of setup time.

Thank you handy. Your ArchBang site is pretty neat. I was able to get pcmanfm working. Embarassing how easy it was. Just installed gvfs and gvfs-smb and now I have access to th linux server. Will mark this solved.
