Top Secret Project Curve

I have uploaded a release of Project Curve.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/archba … ang-Curve/

Chromium Browser, SpaceFM, L3afpad.

Shortcuts for key binds are now in a pipemenu.

Check out Super+Shift+[Arrow Keys] for window snapping feature.

Currently 64bit only

Remember Project Curve is a secret!

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

Sudo wifi-menu wink might add a menu option at some point to make it a little easier. Did notice boot of ISO was slowed while looking for a wired connection. Network Manager may return.

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

Have rebuilt with Network Manager and am looking to bring back abinstall. Without any real feedback am tempted to switch back to Firefox.

Over a thousand downloads in around three days, simply amazing smile if only I had a dollar for each one

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

I've installed it on virtualbox, so I couldn't get much of the sudo-wifi menu. Fast-install worked well for me with a single root partition.
About chromium, have you ever heard about  Inox ?

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

Will work on getting abinstall up to date, network manager has been added for next release. Thing about chrome is its massive, Firefox would be my browser of choice.

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

New iso comes with abinstall. It does work but needs testing for uefi (not checked systemd booting). You may get a warning about pv missing, it is safe to ignore it (forgot to add back in pv package!).

Simply open a terminal and run

sudo abinstall

Some things I am not happy about are tint2 battery monitor (looks ugly). Icons are stock and very plain. Also this is the largest iso I have built weighing in at over 600Mbs. Adding extra candy all comes at a price.....

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

I just installed archbang-curve-rc-211016-x86_64.iso and only had a couple of minor problems.

1) The bootloader section of 'abinstall' tried to install grub on sdb (my archbang curve flashdrive) and not sda (my laptop hard drive) and gave me an error.
The fix..  I chrooted in and reinstalled grub manually.

2) The wifi networkmanager needs some work.  The icon by the clock can't be clicked or right-clicked.  I had to use dmenu and a 'nm' search to open the configurator.  Really?
How would I remove that?  sudo pacman -Rns networkmanager ?  Wouldn't 'wifi-menu' be lighter?

PS:  'editmirror' worked great!

Re: Top Secret Project Curve

Thanks for feedback wink

Live via usb Newtwork Manager (applet) works but is very slow to load....took well over a couple of minutes to settle down.

2016_10_30_042246_1920x1080_scrot.png

Checked abinstall BOOT_MNT seems to follow selected device (need to test to confirm)

Wifi-menu is still of course present but clashes with NM so you would need to disable network manager service to get it running..
