Any way to prevent focus stealing?

I have an issue driving me crazy. When I'm typing something in Hangouts or Skype or similar, some application decided to pop up and steals my focus. I end up typing god knows what into god knows what window and maybe even pressing enter.
Is there a way I tell Openbox to never let an app steal focus or, at least, never to automatically unfocus Skype and Hangouts windows?

Re: Any way to prevent focus stealing?

Try adding a 'focus' section to your rc.xml

Re: Any way to prevent focus stealing?

Thanks, oliver!
This allows me to prevent new windows from stealing focus (yay! for that) but there seems to be no way to just white/blacklist certain applications. Still, it's close to what I want.

Re: Any way to prevent focus stealing?

an(other) app called devilspie might do what you need

Focus stealing is very annoying, it's one of the reasons I switched to i3 (but tiling is not for everyone)
