Found something equally beautiful with better resolution: http://www.zastavki.com/eng/Nature/Natu … -38258.htm
Seems to be free, too.

Re: ArchBang New Release 2014

In this version 2014.01.08 maybe python 3 could be removed. It appears that obkey is the only package that depends on python, while obkey-git depends on python2 so it could be replacement.

Re: ArchBang New Release 2014

I might remove obkey for rc release, just think live changing openbox keys seems a little redundant. Thought something else required python3 but will check. Am thinking of removing gtk3 too only trouble is network manager needs it ;-(

Edit without obkey iso is now 430mb compared to 462mb ;-)

Re: ArchBang New Release 2014

FYI: Installation failed (tried twice) with archbang-2014.01.08-x86_64.iso when generating the kernel boot image.

Re: ArchBang New Release 2014

Just ran rc install under virtualbox and it works fine.... can you check your partition scheme and make sure you change username and root password.

You could check if any of the packages/files/configs on your root partition... maybe chroot in and run pacman -S linux (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Chroot)

Re: ArchBang New Release 2014

I have tried again with the same disc. This time I did not edit configuration files from the installation menu (I.e./etc/hostname) and this way it worked

Have known problems in the past with not changing passwords and username, glad you got it working.
