Why you should not post on Arch Forums

and I hope I don't get "Banned at ArchBang Forums" as well, for my above opinion(s).

I think that until now no one was banned from the forums for his opinions; only people are banned for reasons of commercial propaganda/spam or by mistake when the mod seems  to perceive, they are spamming.

according to one of the Arch Forum Rules  there's the "...,Respect Other Distributions and Operating Systems,..." RULE which I did not obey, I was rudely-sarcastic about RedHat

(see Post #5)

I was upset about the fact that the "OP" said mkinitcpio was gonna be replaced by Dracut -> which imho, would be a horrible hacked-replacement. My mistake was the OP was a 1 poster, and I should have realized that there was no "facts" backing his thread up.
I have nuthin' against "systemd", since it is fairly mature now. I was against "Dracut" replacing good-old mkinitcpio. Reading it again though, it didn't make much sense, and I really did fly off the handle.
Ahh well, It must be the "Irish" in me, on my Mom's side, or, EDIT: it must have been my green-Beastie Avatar that made me do it.
wink

whatever, I was admittedly wrong, and I will be veeery careful again from now on, especially on the Arch forums.
sry, to go off track here.

Re: Why you should not post on Arch Forums

A lot of problems relating to posting on forums comes down to either opinions [right or wrong!] or a weak grip on the English language.

You have to remember that a lot of users do not have English as their first language, so do sometimes find it difficult to either express or understand posts.

'Banned at ArchBang' was our way of lightening the mood

We still have love for you smile

Ha ha ha,  good one. Mr.G.
If I could understand all the "languages" Stan does wink, then I wouldn't get myself into these messes'
It must be the sense of humour here at ArchBang forums, that keeps me here, otherwise I'd be bored real quick.

Re: Why you should not post on Arch Forums

Any opinions are not wanted at Arch Forums. "Just the facts, Ma'am." It seems to be the consensus of Arch Mods that if you want to express your opinion then start a blog.

I'm rudely sarcastic and highly opinionated most of the time and probably should be banned on all Forums everywhere cool
