Change tint2 network icon

Sounds simple enough but as yet I have not managed to get it too work.

Have tried to edit nm-applet.desktop in /usr/share/applications and /etc/xdg/autostart

Does anyone know of a way to do it?

/usr/share/icons/Simple/scalable/status/connect_established.png
is the internet connection icon shown in my tintbar.
So changing it depends on the icon theme you choose.
And important to know that you have to search in the folder scalable/status.
