Failed to boot

I have three HDDs in my hardware system, sda (500 Gb), sdb (500 Gb) and sdc (160 Gb), so I decided to dedicate sdc to archbang. I used the following configuration:

sdc1, 600 Mb for /boot
sdc2, 1024 Mb for swap
sdc3, 40 Gb for /
sdc4, _the_rest_of_it_ for /home

At booting (GRUB is installed in MBR @ sdc) GRUB shows me the options but no booting gets to be. It outputs the "error 17".

It seems is a problem with partitioning, but there's no way I can partition first and then install Archbang. Shouldn't this be a bug? I mean, let's get some more options to install it.

I'm downloading the lates iso. Hope I can install it with this one.

Re: Failed to boot

I don't think it is  a partitioning probleml: try the rescatux CD
or maybe this post can help you: http://stillstup.blogspot.com/2012/03/g … ation.html

I tried your suggestions with no luck. I fixed the partition order as indicated with fdisk, but GRUB complaints about my boot partition, it says it's not a recognized filesystem. I have checked everything in my fstab and menu.lst... I'm starting to think it may be a problem in my BIOS regarding my HDDs, as it recognizes them is not the same order GRUB does, though corresponding disk according GRUB should be hd2, as it's reading it. Oh. my... I'll try with rescatux and then... If succeed=0, then I'll try to reinstall disconecting the other disks.

Thanks for the help.

Linux is complicated, that's why I love it.
