[Hi all,
I am new to ArchBang, but not new to Linux in general. My question is this, I just installed the unofficial March release and was not able to install any new packages using the default /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. Every package I tried to install, I would get an error "target not found". The way I worked around it was to go to the Arch Linux website and use their tool to generate a new mirrorlist and am now able to install packages just fine. Has anyone else seen this ?

ArchBang comes with all mirrors uncommented on the mirrorlist for the purpose of being able to test pacman on the LiveCD. During the ArchBang installation, all mirrors that will not used can be commented during the configuration step. You can also do it after the installation if you follow I've Just Installed ArchBang, Now What? If the mirrorlist is left uncommented you will get the error you mentioned. Generating a new mirrorlist will give you a mirrorlist with all mirrors commented and you just uncomment the mirrors you want and then update.
GUI's?? We don't need no stinkin' GUI's!!!

Thanks,
Guess I should have done more investigation before posting.
