Fluxbox jargon/lingo

Keynames as used in the keys file:
Ctrl                                            Control
Super/windows key                  Mod4
Alt                                             Mod1
Shift                                          Shift
F12                                            None F12
left, middle, right press mouse Mouse 1, 2, 3
mouse wheel up                        Mouse4

Keychain                                  BindKey <key><value>: <action>

:OnWindow Mod1 Mouse3 :StartResizing NearestCorner

KeyModes or "Namespaces in the keys-file" are a way to "constantly" swap the keybindings by the press of some hotkey combination. The idea behind it is to an equal behaviour as with other WMs, where you have modes for window movement and resize. See examples:

Regarding the init file:
first , second screen            screen0, screen1
transparency                       alpha settings   ranging from 0, totally transparent, to 255, totally opaque.
6 Layers                                  layer settings: Fluxbox manages following layers: Above Dock, Dock, Top, Normal, Bottom, Desktop. Presumably the list is from top to bottom. Slit and toolbar can be assigned to a layer with the menu, applications might be assigned to a layer in the apps file.
placement                              BottomCenter BottomLeft BottomRight LeftCenter RightCenter TopCenter TopLeft TopRight
maxOver                             allow application windows to maximize over the complete screen
onhead                                set slit on screen0 or screen1
