Posted BY WILLXTREME, ON APRIL 16TH, 2012:

As of today, the new project leader for ArchBang will be Stan McLaren. Me & Prit will not be able to lead the project anymore because our situations are changing in real life (internship, getting a job, new passion, love, family & friends in need of us just to name a few). This is why ArchBang needs a new leader. Stan (aka ArchVortex) has been pretty involved w/ Paul (pablokal), Kev (MrGreen), Oliver & Kruppt. If it hadn’t been for you guys, ArchBang would’ve been discontinued but thanks God for this nice relief team. I believe you guys will do a great job & thank you for all the support you’ve provided to AB users so far. I want to say a special thanks to Prit (who has been with me since the beginning when we decided to have isos for both architectures). A special thanks to Mike for hosting this website. A special thanks to Dan for setting up the website. A special thanks to anonymous from the CB forums who helped me a lot in setting up Arch for the very first time. A special thanks to Philip Newborough (corenominal) for making a wonderful distro based on Ubuntu in the beginning (that motivated me to have the same distro but with rolling releases). A special thanks to Calimero (from ctkarch) who made his config files available to anyone willing to use them (was pretty handy for the installer). A special thanks to the Arch Linux dev team for their great work in providing a solid flexible distro to do whatever you want. To all AB users, thank you so much for your support/encouragement may God bless you guys!

From my end: I wish Stan all the best and I know you will do a kickass job like always. Best wishes to Kev, Dan, Paul, and every one else who have supported and kept ArchBang alive for so long. Special thanks to everyone who inspired us to work on this project and whose scripts/ codes/ ideas inspired the development of ArchBang.

Thank you everyone. Will miss you ArchBang.

Regards

Will and Prit

It's a bad idea. It's a very well disguised con scheme.
You can make money if you are an early entrant and at the very top of the MLM tree but still I'd advise you to seek out other source of income.

This opinion is of course based on my personal knowledge and experience. I have seen people become bankrupt and/or unable to repay loans they were forced to take.

Sorry if I disappointed you with my reply.

@ArchVortex
I think you could sticky a topic asking users who are interested to participate in Wiki to request an account there. Not many responses are expected but still they'll know what to do in case they are.
Just a thought.

re-playing Mass Effect 2 and Mafia 2

Skyrim is supposed to be never ending. Infinite missions are generated. Although after completing the main storyline I had uninstalled it as I was pissed at the devs for making the main story so short and the ending was abrupt.
Btw, I hate GFWL! Doesn't save my Batman AC missions, doesn't even show up so that I can create a profile. Weird!

Playing L.A. Noire. It's fun and boring at the same time. hmm

I have not used any patches and skyrim worked fine for me in PC. But terribly slow at times, specially during loading.

Please use an imagehost which:

1. Has no annoying advertisements.
2. No pop-ups.
3. Always post the forum code and not the direct link.
4. Make sure the image you are posting is the thumbnail preview only.

Dear archy,
This is your final warning. If you continue to post in this tone I will personally ban you. We are a small group of Linux enthusiast who in our spare time try and contribute as much as we can. So we don't appreciate your demeanor here at the forum.

So decided a topic should exist for the gamers here. So what did you recently play and what's your favorite all time games?

I recently loved playing Skyrim, Saints Row 3 and Silent Hill Home coming.

@OP, Please try out the above methods, if it doesn't work for you let us know.

I tried using Grub2. It's just weird how it works in some of my computer but won't install in others. I will test it some more when I have the time.

#19 Re: Feedback » Suggestion for ArchBang homepage » 2011-12-03 08:03:25

I'll ask Will to talk to Ghost who basically helped us out with this site and forum.

#20 Re: Arch Discussions » Asking Questions on the Arch forum » 2011-07-02 04:39:09

I remember when I started working with Will on AB. ALl we had was a thread under their forum as shelter. Arch Users really helped us out. They were enthusiastic and encouraging. Some people have the Arch ego and that's precisely why I had specified in the Arch Wiki page as well: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … port_Forum not to post AB related queries in their forum after we created our own. Response time here might be a bit slow but patience is a virtue.

Thanks a lot to Ghost1227 for his hard work! This looks great. I am so glad that ArchBang is being appreciated and I hope I can contribute to it in the near future. Keep up the good work fellas.
